The Eames DSR plastic side chair is Vitra’s re-edition of the now legendary Eames fibreglass chair. It is based on the original 1950 design and the first industrially manufactured plastic chair. In 1993 Vitra discontinued production for ecological reasons as fibreglass cannot be recycled. Thanks to recent advances in technology and materials, Vitra is proud to offer the Eames plastic chair, in the exact same shape as the original, in polypropylene.
